STATUS
Construction
Situated in a remote small medieval hilltop village and surrounded by 12th, 15th and 18th century architecture, these former horse stables once belonged to a grand mansion built for a Parisian Gentlemen. The solid stone building had all of its original features intact, including carved stone troths, herringbone brick floors and stone window surrounds. It provides ample space but fell into disrepair some years ago.
Heckmann Design was tasked to completely transform this 18th century building into a luxurious family holiday retreat, preserving the charm and character of the original building whilst adding all modern comforts. Major constraints include its remote location with no access to gas or communal sewers.
Construction is currently underway and is estimated to be completed in 2022.
